History
The GCE Group has an extensive product range to service its Industrial, Medical and High Purity customers.
The GCE Group can offer local sales and supply companies in the following locations: Austria, Benelux, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and in the United Kingdom. In addition GCE has recently opened new sales offices in China, India, Panama, and Russia and has its main production facilities based in the Czech Republic and China. GCE has one central distribution centre based in Kladno, just north of Prague.
GCE is associated with world leading trademarks and brands such as AGA, BOC, Butbro, Charledave, DruVa, ESAB, Linde, Mediline, Mujelli, Murex, Propaline, Rhöna, and Sabre. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 and ou r products are tested and approved by BAM, BSI, Norske Veritas, US Dot, UL, CEN, DIN and SIS. All GCE medical production facilities have EN approvals for CE marking and an increasing number of GCE facilities have systems that have been granted approval to the environmental standard ISO 14000.
The origins of GCE go back as far as the beginning of the twentieth century when oxy-acetylene cutting and welding methods were first invented. GCE itself was formed in 1987 through the merging of two gas equipment activities from the world’s leading industrial gas companies into one entity.
Today’s product portfolio fits a large variety of applications, from simple pressure regulators and blowpipes for welding and cutting to sophisticated gas supply systems for medical and electronics industry applications.
The GCE Group has grown rapidly since its foundation and leads the restructuring of the European gas equipment industry through mergers and acquisitions. Headquarters are based in Malmö, Sweden with the Group having activities in all European markets, and developing businesses in Russia, China, India and South America.The major Production centers are located in the Czech Republic and China. Worldwide in excess of 1000 people are employed within the GCE group today.
